Gracias al compositor cubano Ernesto Duarte (Matanzas, 7 de Noviembre de 1922. - Madrid, 4 de marzo de 1988) existe esa inigualable declaración de amor hecha canción. Con tan sólo unas sencillas palabras y una acertada melodía, "Cómo Fue" es uno de los boleros más grandes de todos los tiempos. Gracias a importantes voces como Benny Moré o Ibrahim Ferrer con el Buena Vista Social Club, hoy en día es uno de los boleros más reconocidos a nivel mundial.

Thanks to the Cuban composer Ernesto Duarte (Matanzas, November 7, 1922. - Madrid, March 4, 1988) we are able to enjoy this unique declaration of love transformed into music. With just a few simple words and the right melody, "Cómo fue " became one of the greatest boleros of all time. Thanks to outstanding voices like Benny Moré or Ibrahim Ferrer and Buena Vista Social Club "Como fue" achieved global recognition.

Después de dos trabajos discográficos en inglés, Gloria Estefan decide retomar sus raíces latinas, y en 1993 publica su primer disco totalmente en español llamado "Mi Tierra". Este álbum fue un éxito indiscutible a nivel mundial y llevo a Gloria Estefan a la cima de su carrera. En la producción tuvo al mejor equipo de músicos, en los que se incluye al legendario Maestro cubano Israel Lopez "Cachao", considerado el inventor del Mambo y uno de los máximos exponente de la música cubana. Este álbum es un abanico de ritmos latinos en los que la voz de Gloria Estefan se aprecia de forma natural e impecable. 

Una de las canciones que concibieron magistralmente fue "Con los años que me quedan", compuesta por Gloria y Emilio Estefan, y en donde la fuente de inspiración fue su propia relación amorosa. La hermosa letra y las guitarras románticas resaltaron la belleza de la melodía y la convirtieron en un clásico de la música latina.

Hoy les presento nuestra versión de esta canción, con Samuel Cano en el piano y Ramón Ramirez en la percusión. Agradezco mucho a Samuel, Ramón y a Bobby por todo el talento y el empeño que aportaron a estas grabaciones. Me siento muy feliz del resultado y espero que ustedes también se sientan igual. After two albums in English, Gloria Estefan decides to demonstrate her musical roots, and in 1993 published her first Latin album entirely in Spanish called "Mi Tierra". This album became the most successful album of her career. Some of the best-known and most well-respected Latin musicians were employed to further embellish the album, featuring the legendary Cuban Maestro Israel Lopez "Cachao", considered the creator of Mambo and one of the greatest exponent of Cuban music. Within this album you can listen to a range of Latin rhythms in which the voice of Gloria Estefan is extremely well suited for the material.

One of the songs masterfully composed was "Con los años que me quedan", written by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, inspired by their relationship. The beautiful lyrics and the romantic guitars further embellished the melody, converting the song into a classic of Latin music.

Today I present you our version of this song, accompanied by Samuel Cano on the piano and Ramon on percussion.
